We continued to work as an advisor to the Heritage Lottery Fund on

Construction Technologies at Dudley College is due to complete
Summer 2017. We are acting as Alliance Manager via our
Birmingham Office. We are continuing to work on a number of
primary school projects throughout the UK.
Recruitment and Succession Planning
As I reported last year one of our key objectives is to develop our
people and implement a long term succession plan.
As part of this we have made a number of new appointments and
anticipate that there will be others during the next twelve months. The
aim is to have a plan in place for each office, business unit and team
within the firm including the support functions.
In conjunction with our auditors, Bessler Hendrie, we are looking at
our shareholders agreement and how we can incentivise senior staff
at Director and Associate Director level to acquire shares within the
business. This process is ongoing.
Business Development and Marketing
During the year we restructured our business development and
marketing team in the UK. We now have a full time business
development executive based in London and a marketing support
executive based in Birmingham. We are currently recruiting another
business development executive to be based in Manchester to
service the Midlands and North. We have targeted filling the role by
the end of March 2017.
Our website, intranet and marketing material will also be updated
during the first half of 2017.
