Derwenthorpe Phase 1 – Shortlisted for 2014 Civic Trust Award

This scheme designed by Richard Partington Architects is being developed by Barratt David Wilson on behalf of Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust. The high thermal performing family houses are of mixed tenure providing rented, shared ownership and private homes. The development includes extensive public realm and a communal district heating system and fibre optic broadband network. The Development is the first phase of a 500 plus housing development. MDA are acting as Project Managers and Cost Consultants.

This year 238 applications were received and following the second stage assessment, 79 projects have been successful at a National/International level and will receive a Civic Trust Award, Commendation or Community Recognitition at the 55th Annual Civic Trust Awards Ceremony, to be held at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Friday 7 March 2014.
