The Retractable Roof at Wimbledon

MDA provided the QS services for the prestigious retractable roof project which moves 1,000 tonnes of steel trusses and 9,000 m2 of fabric to completely enclose the famous Centre Court in only eight minutes.

The redevelopment work of the Centre Court also involved the complete demolition and rebuilding of the East Stand, an upgrade of debenture holder facilities in the North Stand, the addition of six rows of terracing to the top of the bowl and the construction of a new fixed roof over the spectator seating area.
