Description
18 bed extension and alterations/refurbishment of existing care home with associated external works.
There were a number of considerations with this project given the nature of the existing home, which remained operational during the extension and refurbishment works.
In addition, bats were present in the roof void, which meant a bat licence was required prior to commencement of any works in this area with ongoing monitoring during the roofing works. The scheme was completed approximately 6 weeks late, primarily due to delays in getting the bat licence but also due to client variations.
