Description
The project includes the conversion of the existing Hotspur Press building, the construction of a new tower emerging from the existing site and the formation of a new public square. The proposal includes the provision of amenity spaces for students at lower levels and 605 student beds (PBSA) from level 4 up to level 34 with plant and BMU above. The student accommodation is arranged in clusters and studios.
Along with retained facades to the existing building the site is bounded by the River Medlock and the Manchester Viaduct carrying the railway. CDM Principal Designer services undertaken from the outset through to the current stage of the works which sit at the commencement of RIBA Stage 4.
