David is an Associate Director based in the Exeter office, covering Devon and Cornwall. David joined MDA in January 2025, having worked previously at a specialist monitoring surveying firm in London and then the South West.

David has worked within the construction industry since graduating in architecture in 2010, first moving sideways into project management for a medium sized consultancy in Sevenoaks and later in London. This role slowly adjusted from traditional project management - public and private sector EA and PM roles across mainly residential and leisure sectors - to become exclusively monitoring surveying work across all sectors.

Within project monitoring David has experience of a strong mix of sectors – residential, leisure, commercial, hospitality, and student accommodation – for a varied range of Funders and on project ranging from a single bespoke dwelling to large regional house builder sites between values of £500k and £95m.

Interests/Hobbies

Outside of work David enjoys DIY and (slowly) refurbishing houses, travel, food, gaming, and hiking around various parts of the South-West coastal path and Dartmoor and finding a nice pub. Other recent hobbies include dabbling in shares and worryingly becoming rather fond of gardening.
