Steve Hurworth, MRICS

Director (London)

Steve joined the practice in 2018 and became a Director in 2024. His background is in the residential sector with a range of completed projects in the affordable housing market, private developments, including mix use schemes as well as Permitted Developments. Aside from this, Steve has experience in working on charity headquarter buildings, commercial premises and leisure schemes, including working on training facilities used in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Steve is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, but mainly now finds himself involved as an Employer’s Agent for his various projects; a role he relishes as it allows him to navigate the complexities of managing projects and delivering quality schemes for his Clients. He is particularly knowledgeable in regard to Design and Build projects ranging in value from £5million to £100million and is involved in all aspects from pre contract, cost planning, tender analysis, contract collation, contract administration, final account procedures and defects handling.

Interests/Hobbies

Steve is an avid sports fanatic and has given most sports a go at some point throughout his life. Predominantly now easing into the more relaxed pursuit of golf, his handicap remains not as low as he wants it to be, thanks to the distractions of his two young boys. Naysayers will point to the fact he probably still plays more than he should and just isn’t getting better. A big Arsenal fan, Steve still dreams that his beloved Gunners will soon win the big prizes again.
