David began his career as a cost consultant in Edinburgh following his graduation from Heriot-Watt University with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Project Management. In 2019 he relocated to Manchester and in 2022 gained chartered status with the RICS.

Throughout his career, David has performed the role of quantity surveyor, contract administrator, project manager and monitoring surveyor. He has worked in a range of sectors including residential, stadia and arenas, visitor attraction, higher education and commercial and has delivered schemes under several forms of contract.

David joined the Emerging Board in October 2023.
